Garlic Parmesan Asparagus Spears

Get it? Because St. Michael has a spear? This recipe works with thin or thick asparagus, just adjust the cooking time as necessary.

Cook Time 15 minutes
Servings 4

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus spears trimmed
  • 3 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic 1-2 cloves
  • 2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly-ground pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425° F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Arrange the asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet. Mix the garlic, lemon juice, and oil and drizzle over the asparagus, rolling them to coat. Sprinkle cheese and salt and pepper over the top. Bake until just tender, 10 to 15 minutes depending on thickness.
