Fruit Water

Super simple, but sooooo fancy, fruit water is a perfect addition to tea parties, luncheons, and . . . water fights? I think so, anyway. It’s most flavorful when prepared ahead of time and left to steep for 2-4 hours (not more than 10-12). But it’s fun to set out various bowls of ingredients and let kids build their own concoctions and eat/drink them right away. Fresh or frozen fruit works.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Rest Time 2 hours
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cold or room-temperature water
  • 1/2 to 1 cup herbs and fruit
  • 1 cup ice optional

Instructions

  • Mix fruit and herbs with water and let sit for 2-4 hours (not longer than 10-12 hours). Add ice and serve!

Some tasty combinations include . . .

    Strawberry + Basil + Lemon

    • Strawberries, sliced
    • Fresh basil leaves, torn
    • Lemon, thinly sliced

    Watermelon + Mint or Basil

    • Watermelon, cubed
    • Basil or mint leaves, torn

    Cherry + Lime

    • Cherries, pitted and sliced
    • Lime, thinly sliced

    Honeydew + Cucumber + Mint

    • Honeydew, cubed
    • Cucumber, thinly sliced
    • Fresh mint leaves, torn

    Blackberry + Orange + Ginger

    • Blackberries
    • Orange, thinly sliced
    • Fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced

    Blueberry + Lemon + Rosemary:

    • Blueberries
    • Lemon, thinly sliced
    • Fresh rosemary sprigs
