A Catholic Small Business Christmas Gift Guide by Catholic All Year

by | Nov 18, 2021 | Blog, Uncategorized | 0 comments

I am a generally last minute person, but the one thing I try to get done ahead of time each year is Christmas shopping. Getting the shopping out of the way before Advent means I can concentrate on devotions and crafts and baking and family activities during Advent instead of on shopping. And, while I’ll certainly end up ordering some things from Amazon etc., I always prefer to patronize a Catholic small business when possible.

So here I am with an early-bird Catholic small business Christmas gift guide. You’ll find gift suggestions for parents, kids, grandparents, godparents, and hard-to-buy-for folks like priests and college students!

These are items I love from small businesses my family actually uses and can personally vouch for. The items you see in the photos were donated by the makers for review purposes and will be donated by me to the St. Monica Academy school auction.

7. Little Drops of Water

What they’ve got

Perfect for

Kids and families. We have a collection of the saint figurines and like to change them out in a display cabinet each month, to feature the saints of the month. My favorite gift for godchildren is a nativity set. Each year for Christmas, we give each of our godchildren another piece for the set. That way, once they are grown, they’ll have a whole set to use with their own families. In Europe, Nativity scene setups are often huge and filled with many extra characters. This nativity set could be given to a godchild, piece by piece (Jesus, Mary, Joseph, stable, animals, wise men) then saints could be added to make a bigger display!

Hi! I’m Kendra.

For twenty years now, I’ve been using food, prayer, and conversation based around the liturgical calendar to share the lives of the saints and the beautiful truths and traditions of our Catholic faith. My own ten children, our friends and neighbors, and people just like you have been on this journey with me.

If you’d like to learn more about what Catholics believe and why, and to be inspired by saints from every era all over the world, you’ve come to the right place. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with the prospect of how to teach your kids about the faith in a way that’s true, engaging, and lasts a lifetime, we can help!
