Good News and Bad News

by | Jan 29, 2014 | January, Major Awards | 16 comments

The good news is that I WON a Sheenazing Award. Seriously. I’m flabbergasted.

Unless someone calls for a recount, or I wake up . . .

Catholic All Year won
Smartest Blog
and came in second place for Best Lifestyle Blog

You can find out who won all the other categories by clicking over to A Knotted Life. And be sure to tell Bonnie how awesome she is for doing this!

Thanks so much to all of you who voted, welcome to those of you who are new to the blog, and big hugs all around.

What’s the bad news? The bad news is, you guys totally don’t listen to me. I was quite specific.

Still . . .

and, as my gift to YOU, plase enjoy this video of a Dad who puts on a Batman mask, gets really close to the camera, and shouts things at his family:

    Smartest blog–definitely!

And yes, this comment is coming in at a weird time. I'm a super-pregnant Californian trying to write her senior capstone and beat insomnia. 😉

They got it right on the smartest – you should have won best daughter blog too. Love Daddy

You are too kind, Kendra! I'm honored that the Smartest Blog is sending so much traffic my way. 🙂

And thank you for sharing Batdad with the wider world.

  4. Brienne

LOL I missed the recommendation blog post, but I stand by my votes! 😉

  5. Kristen Bright

Hilarious video, thanks for that. That's not what I sound like to my children, is it? Nah…

    Congratulations on the award!
Just wanted to introduce myself; I found your blog through, um, random clicking, I guess? 🙂 And I love it! I'm a Catholic wife/mother of 4/homeschooler/writer, and I know I'll be stopping by here a lot from now on.

Hi! I’m Kendra.

For twenty years now, I’ve been using food, prayer, and conversation based around the liturgical calendar to share the lives of the saints and the beautiful truths and traditions of our Catholic faith. My own ten children, our friends and neighbors, and people just like you have been on this journey with me.

If you’d like to learn more about what Catholics believe and why, and to be inspired by saints from every era all over the world, you’ve come to the right place. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with the prospect of how to teach your kids about the faith in a way that’s true, engaging, and lasts a lifetime, we can help!
