Happy Solemnity of the Annunciation! 👼📣 For what we’ll be doing to celebrate, see this post. tl:dr 🧇🙏
Strange times these are, my friends! It’s been a very Lenty Lent don’t you think? But Easter will come! For many of us it will come like an Easter version of the Grinch: without public Masses, without the Sacraments, without egg hunts, without brunches, and without Amazon Prime for (nonessential) Easter basket goodies . . .
but EASTER WILL COME and we will celebrate!
Many of you have asked exactly how to celebrate Easter at home when churches are closed down. I am working on some resources to help with that. They’ll be finished by next week, I hope. In the meantime, I figure you might be scrambling for good stuff for Easter baskets. Fortunately, I’ve checked with my favorite Catholic small businesses and they are still shipping!
Here are some favorite Catholic gifts from my favorite Catholic makers!

I’ve also got printable Guardian Angel prayers in a variety of themes requested by my kids: Superhero, Fairy Tale, Princess, Star Wars, Sports, and Harry Potter.
Thank you for considering patronizing all these Catholic small businesses in a difficult time!
Thank you so much for this list! I can’t wait to get shopping!
I have also thought that this Easter might be very “Grinch-like” and just like the Grinch, our hearts are growing stronger and hungrier for God and what Easter is all about!
Thanks for all you do Kendra to keep us going with sanity!
Thank you Kendra for taking the time to share these wonderful resources and ways to help.
God Bless you and your home
Good thing I got books from ignatius when you had codes 🙂 hopefully Kroger has chocolate!
Thank you so much. It’s so convenient to have all of these ideas in one place. Even for future Easters!
I have been on the lookout for a banner to put on our mantle bearing our favorite “A” word to say in the Easter season (that we do not say during Lent if you’re catching what I’m pitching 🙂 ). Do you have a suggestion? I can make one if needed, just wondering if any good sources out there first.
Be a Heart has a free printable He is Risen banner! https://beaheart.com/blogs/blog/he-is-risen-easter-banner-1?_pos=1&_sid=5ddb34eaa&_ss=r
And I’ve seen Alleluia ones on Etsy.
Thanks!
A website called Illustrated Ministry is making lots of free religious coloring resources available and I believe they have such a banner : )
Thanks for your suggestions on other sites to buy items. I especially appreciate your shout-out to SockReligious…that is a company local to where I live, and they had just taken on a new staff member as the coronavirus crisis came to a head, so I know they would appreciate all of the orders they can get. Their newest sock is Padre Pio!
However, Amazon can still get some items prior to Easter, depending on what they are. I just looked at a book to order my dad for his birthday next Tuesday, and Amazon says it would arrive between April 1-8 if I order today. So if there is something you desperately need from Amazon prior to Easter, I would recommend getting your order in in the next few days!
Thanks fo all these great resources! Hoping to patronize some of these businesses in the next week or so as I’m sure they can use it. Happy Easter to you and your family. We are looking forward to our waffles tonight!
Thank You Kendra for this list. Stay safe and well.
Marion
Kendra, this list is amazing. It is filled with lots of goodies for Easter. Thank You for sharing. Stay well and safe. God Bless.
Marilyn
Can you please, pretty please put your spiritual communion print on your digital shop soon?
Yes! It’s on my to do list!
This is so great! I had a hard time purchasing the dowel rods from the link. I found them here: https://www.craftparts.com/product-category/dowels-dowel-rods/12-hardwood-dowel-rods/
I think that this is the same place that sells the eggs that you linked to. They must have added to the collection: https://www.craftparts.com/product-category/eggs-fruits/wooden-eggs/
I would never have found these items or had the creativity to think about these great ideas on my own! -haha
THANK YOU!
Thank you for this update!
I have a question about the eggs. I hope this doesn’t sound dumb but if you put the wooden eggs in water will they mold? I ordered those and the wraps for the kids but started thinking about it. Thanks for this post Kendra! I really appreciate you taking the time to put it together. Our Easter baskets will no longer be sad 😉
No, you just dunk them in boiling water for a couple seconds, so they don’t get soaked through. Ours turned out really well.
You’re welcome!
Great! Thank you
