Description

I love these Stations of the Cross coloring pages as an activity for kids (and adults) during Lent, and especially on Good Friday, during that period of 12-3pm when Jesus hung on the cross. During those hours, I make a real effort to keep our home quiet and focused. This is quite a challenge in a house full of children! But I try.

I created these coloring pages using beautiful illustrations from a vintage Roman Missal, and they are my favorite quiet, prayerful, meditative activity for all ages. The detail makes them great for older kids and adults. The black background makes them really forgiving for scribbly littler kids.

You get a 16 page pdf file, that can be printed as individual pages, or as a booklet (which uses 4 pieces of paper) To print as a booklet, I recommend opening the pdf in Adobe (there is a free version available for download here). For best results print booklets on high quality paper (like 24 weight). Lighter weight paper will work, but there will be more show through from the back.

Your purchases in the Catholic All Year shop support the production of the Catholic All Year Liturgical Living Video Series, so thank you!

For a printable Stations of the Cross booklet that includes prayers, Bible readings, meditations, and the Stabat Mater Hymn, see this listing.

Your purchase entitles you to print this booklet as many times as you’d like for your own household’s personal use. Please do not share the digital files or print the booklet for others. Thank you! For an extended license for group/classroom use, see this listing.

Absolutely love this detailed traditional set of the Stations of the Cross that works perfectly as a coloring book. The littlest kiddo’s scribbles will still look beautiful, but all the details are also perfect for older kids and adults who want to color and pray while contemplating the Way of the Cross. I printed full size sets to hang in my classroom, but also printed in smaller sizes to make books for individual kids. I’m also grateful the shop offers an extended license so products like this can be used in classrooms and religious ed.
