The Brown Scapular is a popular, ancient, and profound devotion. The required enrollment prayers can be performed by any priest, but a Carmelite priest would be especially happy to do it for you. Making arrangements in advance and bringing the rite with you is very helpful to your priest!
This investiture rite is also available as a part of the Catholic All July Booklet printable.

You get a 4 page pdf file, that can be printed as individual pages, but I recommend opening the pdf in Adobe (there is a free version available for download here) and printing it as a booklet on 1 piece of paper. For best results print on high quality paper (like 24 weight). Lighter weight paper will work, but there will be more show through from the back. You also get a 5×7 printable Confraternity of the Brown Scapular keepsake. It can also be printed as an 8×10 or 8.5×11.
