Catholic All December Printable Booklet of Prayers, Blessings & Bible Readings {Digital Download}

In this booklet, you’ll find all the Bible passages, prayers, songs, and devotions that our family uses throughout the month of December to enhance our family prayer life and our liturgical living in the home. All the Catholic All Year monthly prayer booklets are designed to be used year after year.

I created this booklet to keep from having to wade through all the different versions of prayers available online, and because I really prefer paper over screens when I’m praying. For all the history, tradition, and backstories surrounding these prayers, blessings, and devotions and the feast days to which they are attached, please consult the Catholic All Year Compendium.

Advent and the new Catholic liturgical year begin on the Sunday closest to the feast of St. Andrew on November 30, which, despite what every Advent calendar thinks, is rarely on December 1. So you’ll find pre-Advent prayers, and instructions for making an Advent wreath in the Catholic All November Booklet.

This booklet includes everything you’ll need for a prayerful Advent and beginning of the Christmas season, including the Christmas Anticipation Prayer, the Immaculate Conception Novena, weekly Advent wreath prayers, an order for the at home blessing of a manger or nativity scene, a Christmas tree, and wine, and a few Advent and Christmas hymns.

A printable booklet of Hymns and Carols for Advent and Christmas is available here, and also as a paperback on Amazon.

You’ll also find prayers, devotions, Bible readings, songs, poems, and historical documents for Advent and Christmas saints including Saint Nicholas, Saint Ambrose, Saint Juan Diego, Our Lady of Loreto, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Saint Lucy, Saint John of the Cross, Saints Adam and Eve, Saint Stephen, the Holy Innocents, and the Holy Family.

The month of December is dedicated to Our Lady, Immaculately Conceived, as is the United States of America. In honor of her feast day on December 8, you’ll find prayers including a renewal of the consecration to the Immaculate Conception.

Separate booklets are available with the Christmas Novena, an At Home Nativity Play, and Hymns and Carols for Advent and Christmas.

It’s a busy time of year, so be sure to choose the prayers, devotions, and activities that work for your family, schedule, season of life, and temperament. You don’t have to do it all!

Available in a paperback version on Amazon.

See the December Booklet Bundle here.

A booklet of just the Immaculate Conception Novena is available here, the Advent Wreath Prayers are available here, the Christmas Novena is available here in a new NABRE version and here in an old-timey Douay-Rheims version, and the At Home Nativity Play script is available here. in case you’d like to be able to print those separately. An extended license for group use is available here.

You get a 60 page pdf file, that can be printed as individual pages, but I recommend opening the pdf in Adobe (there is a free version available for download here) and printing it as a booklet on 15 pieces of paper. For best results print on high quality paper (like 24 weight). Lighter weight paper will work, but there will be more show through from the back.

Your purchase entitles you to print this booklet as many times as you’d like for your own household’s personal use. Please do not share the digital files or print the booklet for others. Thank you! For an extended license, that allows printing the items from one listing for classrooms, groups, or extended family, please see this listing.
